Chop Wood, Carry Water
“Before enlightenment chop wood, carry water.
After enlightenment chop wood, carry water.”
Zen Proverb
Join us for our annual (once again) “worker bee” weekend. Come spend time in the country surrounded by horses, wild open spaces, and the company of family, friends and new acquaintances.
We’ll provide the meals, snacks, and beverages, an evening around the camp fire, horse time if desired, and all the tools and materials needed to help us continue to provide comfortable, safe, and relaxing spaces for all those who visit, our animals, the wild ones, and the care of the land.
Bring your journal, favourite music, work books and gloves, garden hat, art materials, and your creative inspirations. We’ll supply everything else.
Limited space is available in our rustic cabins which each have a queen and a single bed/and or bunk beds. Available on a first come, first served basis. There is lots of space for your RV or tent.
There are a number of projects to choose from including;
♥	Clearing pathways through the forest
♥	Gathering fire wood
♥	Fixing fences
♥	Building a new organic garden
♥	Painting touch-ups on cabins and outbuildings
♥	Re-chinking of the log cabins
♥	Building sitting benches for the land
♥	Many other creative projects abound!
Lots of fun, food, and friendship, friendly animals, and an opportunity for skill building too! Everyone welcome! Come for the whole weekend, or just for a day.
Please note; One day registration is $25 to cover meals and snacks.

Open
Join us for an evening of friendship and learning at Ravenheart Farms for Mystics & Moonlight.
Sunday, February 5th – 6:30 pm (meet & greet) – 7:00 pm – Life Celebrants and Life Celebrations
Did you know that Kamsack & area has two qualified and certified Life Celebrants?
Karry Ann Nunn and Carol Marriott received their certifications from Life Celebrants International in the past few years and share a passion for helping you honour the stories and memories of your loved ones.
Check out https://lifecelebrantsinternational.com/find-a-celebrant for more information.
What is a Life Celebrant?
“In a broad sense, the term “celebrant” simply refers to one who celebrates anything. In the case of funeral planning, a funeral celebrant is a trained individual who works with a family to create a personalized memorial tailored to the beliefs, lifestyle and preferences of a loved one.”
Source: Google
Life Celebrants International understands the importance of ceremony and connecting with family, friends, and the community in times of loss. Life Celebrants are trained with the skills and knowledge they need to provide meaningful, personalized services that honor and celebrate the life of the person who has passed.
Life Celebrants can be a wonderful alternative to traditional funerals and life celebrations, for those that may be spiritual, but not affiliated with a religious institution or particular faith. A Mother Blessing, Crone Ceremony, end of a marriage or relationship, pet loss tributes or memorials, and grief support are a few reasons you may choose to work with a Life or Funeral Celebrant.
RSVP Ravenheart@sasktel.net by Saturday, Feb. 4th. Bring a small snack to share. Coffee & tea provided. Everyone welcome!
Please note: Correction; 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm - instead of 10:00 pm. We'll send directions when you RSVP. Please do not use Google Maps as it will take you the wrong way. 306-590-8257 cell
